Vegan leather guide – Exploring 13 popular vegan leathers on the market

Vegan leather is also known as faux leather, artificial leather, or plant-based leather. It is a material that mimics traditional genuine leathers but without any animal-products included. They are popular for beauty businesses that value the ecosystem and animal lives. This blog is to help you find the right alternative vegan leather for your cruelty-free products.

Synthetic Polymer Leathers include Polyurethane (PU), Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the newcomer Polyvinyl Butyral Leather (PVB).

With environmentally conscious growth, Recycled PU Leather and Recycled PVB Leather are also recently developed.

PU leather has almost replaced PVC leather since it is better performanced in every aspect except cost, so you can only see PVC leather on cheap products.

Pros: Flexible, Soft, Breathable, Can be made to resemble different types of genuine leather grains, textures and more.
