Retail Cosmetic Bag RFQ: MOQ 500+, Launch Plan and Shipping

Retail Beauty Brand / Quote Readiness

By Vivi Lu | Ecoicolor Sales Manager

A useful cosmetic-bag quotation starts with more than a request for minimum order and shipping. Buyers who share the product plan, target quantity, launch window, branding and destination receive a clearer feasibility review and fewer late changes.

Buyer Summary

This guide is for retail beauty and personal-care brands that can work with a sewn-bag MOQ of 500 or more and have a defined product or launch plan. A quote-ready RFQ includes the product map, target quantity by color, material and branding route, retail packing, destination and approval timing. Low-quantity personal-use enquiries are not the intended fit.

Buyer insight: MOQ and shipping are not enough to quote

Some enquiries ask only for the minimum order and shipping cost. Those two questions are reasonable, but they do not show whether the project has a viable product, brand route or launch window. The factory still needs to know what the bag carries, how it should look, how many colors are required and where the packed units will go.

A stronger buyer brief names the sales channel, order range, required sample date and decision owner. That information lets both sides separate an exploratory idea from a project that can move through sample approval and bulk production.

  1. Define the product
List the items, dimensions, weight and access needs. Send physical products or accurate dummies for fit-sensitive interiors.
  2. Define the commercial route
State quantity by color, target market, sales channel, target price direction and whether MOQ 500+ is workable.
  3. Define the launch plan
Provide the desired sample date, artwork-lock date, bulk-delivery window and buyer-side approval owner.
  4. Define the delivery point
Share the destination city or port and preferred Incoterm so freight discussions use the same responsibility split.

What to send for the first quotation

RFQ field Minimum useful detail Why it changes the quote
Product and bag size Product list, actual dimensions, target outer size and preferred opening. Affects pattern, usable capacity, reinforcement and zipper length.
Quantity Total units and split by color, size or artwork version. Too many versions can reduce the quantity per material or setup route.
Materials Cotton canvas, rPET, velvet, PU or another route; lining and structure preference. Stock, dyeing, coating, padding and certification-document routes differ.
Branding Logo file, size, position and preferred print, embroidery or woven label. Artwork setup and component minimums depend on the selected method.
Retail packing Poly bag, tissue, swing tag, belly band, paper box and carton-label needs. Pack-out affects unit dimensions, labor and shipping-carton planning.
Timeline and destination Sample deadline, launch date, delivery city/port and preferred Incoterm. Prevents a product quote from being mistaken for a delivered-cost quote.

Use ICC Incoterms rules1 to clarify delivery responsibilities; an Incoterm is not a substitute for the exact destination and shipment mode. For retail barcodes and company-prefix planning, GS1 US barcode planning2 can support the card, belly-band or carton-label brief.

Printed cosmetic pouch collection in several sizes and patterns
Color count, print coverage and size mix can change MOQ and costing.

A collection brief should identify the launch SKU, not only the preferred visual style.

Best fit and less suitable enquiries

Best fit

Established or scaling beauty brands, retailers and wellness companies with a defined product, MOQ 500+ potential, artwork, launch timing and willingness to approve a physical sample.

Less suitable

One-piece personal orders, very small test quantities, no brand or sales plan, no launch window, or requests for a delivered price before product and packing details exist.

Material documents belong to the selected route

If textile safety or material documentation matters to the market, reference OEKO-TEX Standard 1003 during material review. Document availability depends on the chosen material, supplier records and project scope; it should not be promised from a generic reference photo.

Compact handled cosmetic pouch with textured fabric exterior
Handle, structure and product load should be specified before the quote is locked.

Internal links for a quote-ready project

Review the custom cosmetic bag manufacturer page for the main sourcing route, the cosmetic bag product range for adjacent structures, and the sample approval and production process before finalizing the RFQ.

Send a quote-ready cosmetic bag brief

Share product dimensions or samples, bag size, material, logo method, quantity by color, retail packing, destination, launch date and approval owner. Ecoicolor can then review feasibility, sampling and the right quotation route.

FAQ

What is Ecoicolor’s cosmetic bag MOQ?

Sewn cosmetic bags normally start from MOQ 500, subject to material, color split, hardware, structure and custom components.

Can Ecoicolor quote shipping without a destination?

No reliable delivered-cost estimate is possible without a destination city or port, shipment mode and agreed Incoterm.

Can one order use several colors?

Yes, but confirm quantity per color because fabric dyeing, print setup and component minimums may apply to each version.

What makes an RFQ commercially ready?

A defined product, MOQ-compatible quantity, artwork, material route, retail packing, destination, launch window and approval owner.

Is a physical sample required?

A physical sample is strongly recommended before bulk production, especially for product fit, color, zipper, lining and retail pack-out.
